Short answers here. The long ones live in the field guides.
The answers
Are the drawings actually accurate?
Yes — that is the point of the brand. Every device is drawn to real convention: through-dovetails have half pins at both outside edges, slopes are laid out as ratios (1:8 hardwood, 1:6 softwood) rather than degrees, and sharpening micro-bevels are drawn at true scale. If it would fail a knowledgeable eye, it does not ship.
Why drawings instead of slogans?
Because the drawings are what woodworkers love looking at. A logo ties you to someone else’s brand and a phrase joke wears thin. A clean exploded dovetail or a bevel section signals craft literacy — it reads as designed, not printed.
How does KERFLINE make money?
Two ways: our own original merchandise, and affiliate commissions when you buy recommended tools through our links. As an Amazon Associate we may earn a commission. No brand pays for placement in a ranking.
How long does merch take to arrive?
Everything is made to order: 2–5 business days at the press, then shipping. Most US orders arrive within 5–10 business days total, with tracking emailed on dispatch.
Do you use any real tool brands in the art?
Never. All artwork is original and IP-safe — no tool-brand marks, trade dress, or maker names on any garment. Plane elevations stay generic; a “loose tenon” is a loose tenon. We name real products only in editorial reviews, where that is fair use.
